Does anyone know if the Hancock Hill Letterbox in Blue Hills in MA is still
there? It is listed as possibly missing in 10/01 but no other update is
posted. I can't see who the placer is to contact. Thanks!

This box doesn't seem to be listed on the LBNA site anymore, but we
did find it a couple of months ago.
FYI, there is an error in the clues for this box.
The clues say "From here take the Skyline Trail to the summit of
Hancock Hill."
IMHO, they should say
"From here take the Skyline Trail TOWARD the summit of Hancock
Hill."
I also recommend putting away your map after you get to the starting
point.

Yes! Follow the clues... NOT the map. If you follow the map, you'll surely
end up second-guessing the clues (which are descriptively correct if not correct
by name of location -as indicated by Cavylovers).

You can find the clues for this box here:
http://users.crocker.com/~bsennott/hancock.html
If you go from the LBNA site you have to click on the "Blue Hills" box and
then that directs you to a different site and then click on "Hancock Hill"
at the bottom of the page.

My sister Betsey owns this box. I can't speak for her, but I
assume she chose not to put the box in the database because it
was reported missing. However, we've kept the clue page up,
just "in case."
Also, because I maintain our clue pages, my email address is
given at the bottom of all our pages. You can always email that
address with questions.

I never made it! :(
I tried to go today but I was swamped with work. I'm trying for this weekend
or Monday now!
